Maintenance/Janitorial

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance/Janitorial Worker to join our team. This position involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, cleaning, and maintaining facilities in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain building areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, windows, floors, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all areas to ensure cleanliness.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, light bulb replacements, and filter changes.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are in proper working order.
• Maintain and store cleaning supplies safely.
• Report any major repairs or maintenance needs to the supervisor/management.
• Perform minor repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, or repairing minor equipment issues.
• Monitor and ensure the safe operation of equipment and facilities.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols when using cleaning products and equipment.
• Ensure that safety and health standards are met within the building.
• Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or maintenance work is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift or carry heavy items.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Flexible schedule and availability, including evenings or weekends if required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, squatting, and climbing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
