Now Hiring: Tool and Die Maker – Clanton, AL
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $28–$29 per hour
We’re seeking an experienced professional with a background in metal manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of shop math, metal properties, layout work, and machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair machinery used in production
- Operate machine tools and assemble mechanical components
- Interpret specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Plan and carry out tasks using various machine tools
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy
- Install and test new monitoring systems
- Manage disposal of used oil and separators
- Prepare workstations for machinery setup
- Conduct preventive maintenance
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery components
Requirements:
- Completion of a 4-year tool and die apprenticeship or 7 years of relevant experience
- Technical training in machining, mechanical principles, metal characteristics, and shop math
- Experience building and maintaining production machinery
- Familiarity with CNC operations and programming
- Press die experience is a plus
- Must be open to taking a tool and die skills assessment, if needed
