What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collection Specialist for Imaging Center position at Clermont Radiology LLC?
We are looking for a Collection Specialist to follow up and collect outstanding payments for both Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and Health Insurance claims. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm remotely. You may have a few days training on site and must live near Clermont Florida.
Essential job junctions but not limited to:
- Maintain Attorney cases
- Able to interrupt an EOR/EOB
- Clear understanding of auto insurance benefits
- Process and resolve claim denials.
- Maintain the AR 60 days
- Claim appeals
- Confirm and correct demographics
- Billing phone calls (Attorney & Patient)
- Resolve billing issues for patients
- Verify and request refunds
- Document detailed chart notes
- Cross train for HI and PIP
- Attorney Medical records
- HIPAA compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Patience and ability to manage stress
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus
