CLEVELAND AREA HOSPITAL is an independent, self-managed Critical Access Hospital half an hour west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. POSITION SUMMARY : The purpose of this position is to provide general nursing care, working collaboratively with R.N., L.P.N., C.N.A.’s and multidisciplinary team members. The Certified Nursing Assistant II will provide professional care for patients of all ages, gender, cultures, and background by providing physical and psycho-social support to patient, friends and families.
The C.N.A. II will provide patient care by implementation of the plan of care to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care under the oversite of other personnel which includes but is not limited to L.P.N. and R.N.
The C.N.A. II must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care and is expected to adhere to and abide by policies of the facility and the rules and regulations set forth by Cleveland Area Hospital and the State of Oklahoma.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
All duties as outlined in the C.N.A. Job Description in addition to the following skills for which competency has been validated :
o Applying an extremity and waist restraint
o Vital signs per ESI level
o Bladder Scan
o 12-Lead EKG
o Room Turnover / Cleaning
o Handling of contaminated instruments
o Assisting with Registration of Emergency Department patients
1. Participates in training, orientation, competency assessment and education of new employees.
2. Communicates clearly, concisely, and accurately, creating a working climate that promotes growth and job satisfaction of personnel.
3. Communicates with the R.N. and / or L.P.N. effectively.
4. Uses effective positive reinforcement and other methods to enhance team performance.
5. Arrives on time, works scheduled shifts and badges in and out appropriately.
6. Other duties as required.
