Responsibilities:- Plan and execute audits and review procedures for governmental and non-profit clients ensuring accurate financial statement preparation
- Collaborate directly with Partners and Managers to address client and engagement management issues effectively
- Establish clear and concise communication with clients' internal accounting and auditing departments to ensure exceptional service provision
- Strengthen existing client relationships and identify opportunities for new business development
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff accountants to cultivate a collaborative and educational work environment
- Conducting audits and review procedures for a diverse client base
- Collaborating with Partners and Managers to strengthen client relationships and explore new business opportunities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Experience: 1 year in external audit within public accounting or a blend of governmental public accounting and GAAP financial statement review/compilation (preferred)
- Knowledge: Strong grasp of governmental accounting and auditing standards
- Skills:
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Travel: Must have a personal vehicle for client site visits, meetings, or seminars, with frequent daily travel and occasional overnight stays
