Power Systems Field Service Technician

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Power Systems Field Service Technician.

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful parts professionals.

Position Summary:

The successful applicant must have relevant working experience and be able to operate and maintain all types of earthmoving and construction equipment. The successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities as well as the personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary concern. The candidate will work with rental coordinators and salesman on tracking equipment going out on long term rentals.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Contact Customers , Scheduled inspections and Maintenance for Rental Machines.

- Take calls from customers on rental equipment issues, troubleshoot over phone. Go out to equipment if necessary to make repairs.

- Maintain a good relationship with Rental Sales and Rental Customers to continue a working relationship.

- Some rental jobs may go outside our territory if other branches are not able to make repairs or service equipment.

When not in the field, the candidate will come into Rental Shop and work on Equipment with the Rental Team.

You will be responsible for keeping Truck Stocked with Necessary spare parts( Filters, Oil, Coolant, spare parts you find you will need the most)

Generator (CAT - JCB )

Air Compressor ( Diesel Driven and Electric )

Diesel and Electric Heaters

Diesel and Electric Water Pumps

Load Banks

Automatic Transfer Switches

Transformers

Requirements:
- A strong mechanical aptitude, the willingness to learn, a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
-Candidate must meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law.
- The successful candidate will be required to pass a driver's physical and if in a field service role, all applicable tests associated with CDL and driving a service truck.
-Wide range of various working experience is acceptable to the company including technical schools, military background and or job experience.
- Work overtime as needed
As a technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes
exposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include:
- Overall stamina
- Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
- Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, listening, and speaking
- Must have good motor coordination skills
- Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
- Verbal intelligence, and numerical intelligence
- The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold
- Injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
