JOB SUMMARY:
Our Accounting Team is thrilled to welcome a Junior Staff Accountant who will gain experience from opportunities that build accounting, finance, and strategic thinking skills. Additionally, this individual will gain exposure to the sports industry and teams we support. The Junior Staff Accountant should be a versatile self-starter, highly motivated, and eager to learn.
- This is a 'contract-to-hire' position that will begin as an hourly role, and have potential to transition into a full time role at a later time.
- This is an onsite position requiring working in-office a minimum of 4 days per week.
- Local candidates preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in on-going Accounts Receivable, Accounting & Finance operations:

- Prepares and sends invoices to Corporate Partners, Suite holders and other parties.
- Coordinates Accounts Receivable Invoice Request workflow in SharePoint.
- Collaborates with sales team and resolves discrepancies with invoicing and collection issues.
- Researches and disputes credit card chargebacks.
- Performs all cash applications.
- Month-end close processing and data entry.
- Related G/L filing, sorting, and documentation.
- Account analysis and data compilation.
- Assisting in the Year-end Close process:

- Pulling together Account Reconciliations and necessary support.
- Assist in the preparation of Year end Financial Statements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Seeking 6 months of previous accounting / finance experience through at least one internship.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy is required; experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) is preferred.
- Experience in related activities at the college level is preferred.
- Must be organized, with a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Must be flexible, able to accept direction and constructive criticism, as necessary, and to absorb and work on multiple projects.
- Must take responsibility seriously and be independently motivated.
- Maturity and the ability to distinguish between ordinary and out-of-ordinary events and/or circumstances are essential.
- Must keep all confidential information viewed confidential.
