What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Outreach Translator position at Cleveland City Schools?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Translates written documents from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English.
- Interprets during conferences, IEP meetings, telephone calls, testing, information gathering from other school districts, emergency situations, etc.
- Assists multilingual students and their families with the school enrollment process.
- Serves as liaison between the school district and multicultural groups and organizations in the community..
- Assists the school in developing a rapport with multilingual families.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the School Principal.
