Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a shift manager maintenance position at our Warren, Ohio, facility. This role coordinates daily activities in the operation site, supervising hourly crews and improving overall efficiency by properly utilizing the resources and all components. They will ensure the reliability of the electrical equipment through preventative maintenance and directing maintenance personnel as needed in response to breakdowns.
Summary of Responsibilities
Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans
Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices
Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments and assists in developing continuous improvement plans
Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards, and performs regular audits
Leads employees' training and performance review programs. Improves overall production, processes, and services efficiency
Work in a 24 / 7 environment that includes rotating shifts. Responsibilities and the nature of the work can change based on the conditions of the operations, which may consist of adjustments in work schedules based on the severity of the issues.
Routinely exposed to plant environment including noise, dust, dirt and vibrations, extreme climate changes / weather changes.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma
2-5 years of supervising maintenance employees in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Steel manufacturing experiences preferred
