Cleveland-Cliffs is currently recruiting upcoming college graduates for entry-level Associate Electrical Engineer positions at our Indiana Harbor facility in East Chicago, IN.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Recommend and/or perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment
- Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, re-design, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment
- Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action
- Plan, schedule, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and making recommendations for improvement and various other duties as needed to support the business
- Potentially supervise a crew of hourly maintenance employees
- Rotating shift work may be required according to business needs
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other related technical degrees
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience or internship/co-op in manufacturing
