Summary Of Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Support and guide team members to overcome obstacles.
- Participate in quality assurance projects and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement and waste reduction.
- Provide metallurgical and technical support for product and process improvement through data analysis, problem solving, expertise in an area of responsibility, metallurgical/mechanical concepts, and knowledge of customer operations/markets.
- Monitor product and process variability, focusing on improving practices and product performance.
- Meet with customer representatives to provide innovative and timely solutions to quality and reliability issues.
- Deliver technical solutions to internal and external customers leveraging knowledge of manufacturing processes and product capabilities.
- Collaborate with other operational and technical departments to drive results.
- Communicate with upstream and downstream operations to enhance practices and performance.
- Perform various other duties as needed to support the business.
- Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy or Material Science Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment, utilizing clear communication and coaching skills.
- Capability to work in a hot, dusty environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 8 years of experience in materials or metals manufacturing.
- Proven success in defining and resolving problems.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic work environment.
