Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers and ranked by U.S.

News & World Report announces a search for a Pediatric Psychologist specializing in

Gastroenterology Disorders in our growing Department of Pediatric Behavioral Health and

Neurosciences.

Primary Duties : This position will support our patients served through Pediatric Gastroenterology, a

nationally-ranked program and with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team that addresses a wide

range of diagnostic conditions such as IBD, functional constipation, rumination, colorectal motility, and

liver disease. A focus is enhancing care of children with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI). This

program emphasizes the integration of psychology within a collaborative team including physicians,

therapists, nurses, and dietitians. The primary role for this psychologist will be to provide outpatient

evaluation and treatment, as well as expand multidisciplinary team programs.

Other Opportunities : While this position is primarily focused on Pediatric Gastroenterology, there are

opportunities to build clinical integration in other medical divisions (e.g., Feeding Disorders Program).

This psychologist may also participate in supervising master’s level providers in outpatient treatment

settings. There are also opportunities for program development and integration of clinical and quality

improvement research.

Being a staff psychologist at the Cleveland Clinic also offers opportunities in program development

and implementation, and opportunities for teaching learners from a variety of health disciplines. Staff

may also participate in our Psychology Fellowship Program and our APA-accredited Psychology

Residency Program.

Faculty and Staff Development : Employment at the Cleveland Clinic allows for opportunities in

research and professional development. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with

experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve

University. Board Certification via the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), which is

required to advance from Associate Staff to Full Staff, is fully supported and funded by the Cleveland

Clinic Children’s Institute.

Qualifications : Doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology, with APA approved

internship, licensure in Ohio and at least one year of post-doctoral experience in a clinical child or

pediatric psychology setting.
