What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sport and Exercise Medicine position at Cleveland Clinic Foundation?
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking Sport and Exercise Medicine physicians to join our team. The Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine Center has 27 physician members : 15 Sport and Exercise Medicine physicians and 12 Orthopaedic Sports Medicine surgeons working collaboratively with physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and exercise physiologists. We are the official Healthcare Providers to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Guardians and provide coverage for over 60 collegiate & high school teams and over 15 professional partnerships. The cornerstone of our center will be the Global Peak Performance Center, a first-of-its-kind sports performance center and training facility on the Cuyahoga Riverfront. This center will not only serve the Cleveland Cavaliers on and off the court, but it will create an opportunity for the everyday athlete to receive state-of-the-art care in Northeast Ohio.
We invite fellowship trained, academically focused Sports Medicine physician candidates who are Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a CAQ in Sports Medicine to apply. Candidates should possess strong leadership and organizational skills and have a proven record of research, clinical experience, team physician responsibilities, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and education. Two positions are currently available :
- A full-time collaborative position with Ashtabula Regional Medical Center to provide sports medicine care and on-site coverage for High School and an Elite Sports academy.
- Full-time position to provide sports medicine care, high school, and collegiate team coverage. Candidates with significant research and writing experience will be strongly considered.
