Job Description
In the Emergency Department, seconds count, and patients rely on our high-quality, compassionate care. Our multi-disciplinary care teams and leading-edge technology enable us to diagnose and treat patients effectively 24/7.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of employment.
- At least one year of current acute care RN and/or Emergency Department experience. Licensed military RN experience is also considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- A full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
The physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
