Responsibilities
- Supervises nurse managers, educators, clinical specialists, and staff of the inpatient and ambulatory care units.
- Works in collaboration with Nursing Director regarding budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity and staff development.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to nursing staff.
- Ensures communication, cooperation and understanding among staff and monitors adherence to Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures.
- Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Four years recent clinical experience and one year of health care management experience required.
- Current state licensure as an Registered Nurse (RN).
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Four years of recent nursing clinical experience to include at least one year of healthcare management experience required.
- Requires the ability to walk to various locations throughout the foundation, normal or corrected vision and hearing, and the ability to work and function in a stressful environment.
- Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
