The Clinical Informatics Nurse provides informatics support and expertise to frontline caregivers. In this role, you will represent local and specialized nursing technology needs and advocate for automated solutions and enhancements at the enterprise level. You will also participate on digital project teams, serve as a central point of contact for assigned locations and collaborate with nursing, IT, ancillary and operational departments to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and clinical outcomes.

A Caregiver Who Excels In This Role Will
- Provide in-person support for caregivers related to the use and adoption of existing and new clinical technologies.
- Respond to any needs and provide direction, consultation and issue escalation or resolution.
- Assist with dissemination of technical communications related to clinical technology projects.
- Serve as a central point of contact for the Nursing Institute to ensure continuity between the impact of technology rollouts and professional nursing practice and business operations.
- Continually work to improve the knowledge and skills of our caregivers related to clinical systems and process by identifying ongoing educational opportunities, knowledge gaps and trends that can be addressed through caregiver remediation and support.
- Own all project and assignment accountability to timelines, expectations and outcomes through timely and accurate communication, issue escalation and overall personal engagement and ownership.
- Engage in agile approaches for quality, iterative and timely technology implementations.
- Facilitate decision making with stakeholders.
- Support and drive innovation and embrace team and agile design culture.
- Routinely engage clinical caregivers to validate, support, train and remediate knowledge deficits related to clinical systems and workflow adoption that directly impact practice and operations.
- Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited school of nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Three years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or major medical center including experience in an acute care setting
- Evidence of clinical information systems use and implementation
- In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing theory and practice
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
- Experience with implementation of clinical systems in the hospital and/or ambulatory clinical setting
- Experience with clinical leadership
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and be stationary for prolonged periods of time
- Normal or corrected vision
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer
- Ability to walk to various locations throughout the campus and function in a stressful environment
- Driving between CCHS facilities as needed and flexible hours when needed
- Light Work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
