The manager in this role directs the facility operations of the Main Campus inpatient, outpatient, and/or research and administrative areas. This key position is the main point of contact for collaboration with hospital executive leadership, ambulatory services, and research operations. You will work with the Facilities Shop Managers and skilled trades to oversee installations, inspections, repairs, trouble-shooting, and overall maintenance of buildings, facility equipment, and grounds.
A caregiver in this position works days, 7:30am—5:00pm.

A Caregiver Who Excels In This Role Will
- Take responsibility for safe and continuous operation of assigned buildings and services in accordance with state laws, applicable codes, policies, and accreditation requirements.
- Communicate, document, and support assessments, coordinates construction projects, leads EUI activities, assists with prioritization of routine work, performs service recovery, shutdowns, and assists with organizing special projects or events.
- Participate in developing goals and objectives with leadership. Analyzes data and metrics with team to manage goals and objectives. Creates and assists with executing action plans.
- Support talent acquisition activities to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented caregivers.
- Create a work environment where caregivers realize their full potential to meet current and future clinical and business challenges.
- Provide coaching and mentoring on performance and best practices.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop budgets, including capital and departmental operating budgets.
- Assist in identifying infrastructure requirements and prioritization with the with leadership and Director of Infrastructure.
- Maintain basic knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory, and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensure departmental compliance.
- Completion of apprenticeship trade or vocational school or knowledge obtained through four years of on-the-job training experience in the appropriate area of responsibility.
- Four years of experience as a qualified tradesperson or technician.
- Two years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- OR additional 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience may offset the degree requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.
- Membership in professional trade organization.
- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or Professional Engineer (PE).
- Healthcare experience.
Physical Requirements
- Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders; requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs.
