As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize the activities and workflow of the Patient Access area. Minimum hourly: $16.47
Maximum hourly: $23.61

A Caregiver Who Excels In This Role Will
- Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance of and assist in training patient service representative.
- Screen candidates, recommend hires, conduct performance appraisals and recommend corrective counseling.
- Develop, implement and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as, reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.
- Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
- Adjust employees, patients and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.
- Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.
- Produce reports as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent, including interacting with patients, physicians, and other departments on a problem resolution basis
- OR three years of external outpatient scheduling experience, including resolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others
- OR Associate Degree and one year of experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree
Physical Requirements
- Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
