Our APPs manages all cases, excluding Trauma & Cardiac.
- Various scheduling options available (10-hour shifts preferred)
- No Nights | No holidays
- Weekday call: Saturday & Sunday from 7a – 7p each day. Full-time: only required one weekend per month. Part-time: Only required one weekend every other month

Responsibilities:
- Obtains a comprehensive patient history and performs relevant elements of a physical exam.
- Discusses findings and anesthetic plan with supervising anesthesiologist before induction of anesthesia.
- Reviews the patient's condition with the anesthesiologist immediately prior to the induction of anesthesia.
- Pretests and calibrates anesthesia delivery systems.
- Administers blood, blood products and supportive fluids.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an institution of higher learning accredited by an organization recognized by the board of regents.
Certifications:
- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
- Current, valid certificate of registration.
- Written practice protocol consistent with section 4760.09 of the Revised Code.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- None required.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions of working irregular hours.
- Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
