The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) manages the administrative and clinical aspects of the PACU, which includes organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of quality, patient-centered, cost-effective patient care. The Assistant Nurse Manager provides education to staff based on their clinical and theoretical expertise and will partner with the Nursing Leadership team and PACU caregivers to assess and implement process improvements as needed. The role also oversees staffing to ensure proper clinical resources and the continuity of patient care. Providing patient care is included in the ANM's responsibilities. - The hours of this full-time ANM position are primarily three 12-hour shifts per week, 9am-9 : 30pm.
- Some on-call shifts might be required for overnight and weekend hours.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE :
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) REQUIRED.
- Two years of recent RN experience in an acute care PACU is required.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills.
