Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Cleveland Clinic Children's Center for Autism. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will provide compassionate care to children with autism spectrum disorder through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
About the Role
This role requires a strong commitment to behavioral principles and effective rapport-building with diverse families. You will work under supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to provide care to multiple patients with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans targeting specific skills across areas including socialization, play, adaptive behavior, and language.
- Assist Outpatient Behavior Analyst in conducting functional behavior assessments, including data collection and summarizing environment and medical information.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding progress, troubleshoot, and generalize strategies for home.
- Participate in required supervision with Outpatient Behavior Analyst.
Requirements
- SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF COURSEWORK FOR REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION (RBT)
- BACHELOR'S DEGREE
- 6 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH AUTISM UTILIZING APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS PREFERRED
Working Conditions
The role requires a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting students, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
