As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will promote the health of patients and caregivers by providing the pharmaceutical assistance they need. A caregiver in this position works rotating days/evenings from 7:00AM - 3:00PM and 3:00PM - 11:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based pharmacy and medication services.
- Ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
- Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
- Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
- Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- PharmD or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy
- Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation within 90 days of hire
- Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Board certification
- Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience
