The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to accurately interpret physician instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate CT scan equipment, and position patients to capture high-quality images.
Acquire patient chart data and review it to determine correct room setup and learn of any specific medical problems or contraindications to the study.
Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and required documentation.
Minimum qualifications include:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing.
Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire: R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred qualifications include:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
