As a Coordinator Oncology Data Specialist, you will perform the functions of a Tumor Registry Coordinator I as well as coordinate Commission on Cancer Accreditation (COCA) activities and special projects while also serving as a mentor and trainer to caregivers on the Tumor Registry team.
A caregiver in this position works 8:30am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Coordinate/participate in special projects.
Serve as a mentor and trainer to Follow-up Specialists, Coordinator, Tumor Registry I employees, and health information management programs' visiting students.
Perform accurate and complete case ascertainment.
Collect and interpret information on each reportable case.
Code, classify, and index stage of disease and treatment information.
Maintain a maximum abstracting delay of 6 months from the initial diagnosis/contact.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) by the National Cancer Registrars Association.
One year of experience in case abstraction.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate's degree.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $20.77
Maximum hourly: $31.68
