About the Role
This position requires a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) through American Heart Association (AHA) are also required upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
You will be responsible for assessing the health status of patients upon arrival, maintaining current nursing knowledge, and collaborating with the supervisor to adjust staffing levels as needed. Additionally, you will communicate assessment data in an orderly fashion, serve as a patient advocate, and participate in implementing activities to solve problems and improve the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Maintains competencies specific to patient population served
- One year of clinical experience
