As Director of Medical Staff Services, you will assist in aligning goals to the departmental strategic plan, ensuring quality and effectiveness of the programs via statistical research reporting. You will also supervise designated employees while creating an environment that fosters individual growth and development. All of your efforts help facilitate compliance with applicable accreditation and government agency standards, allowing caregivers and the Enterprise to continue providing exceptional, world-renowned healthcare.
A caregiver in this position works remotely (OH based) from 8:00AM - 5:00PM, with occasional local travel as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Direct the Medical Staff Services Department in its strategic plan.
- Generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Organize the functions of the local medical staff offices through the appropriate assignment of responsibilities, delegation of authority and all overall direction of work-flow processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities of the local medical staff office employees and provide management coaching, guidance and on-the-job training and retraining to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Plan and lead in the design, development, testing, training, implementation, evaluation, maintenance and enhancement of the MD-Staff modules.
- collaboratively with organizational leaders throughout the enterprise.
- Coordinate guidelines and standards for objective criteria for delineation of privileges for the system.
- Train new employees in software and hardware usage and work with employees to increase skills and function more effectively.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree and seven years of experience in management or project management in a hospital and/or managed care setting, working with multi-specialty groups and/or other integrated delivery systems, or medical staff services OR High School Diploma/GED and ten years of experience
- Valid Driver’s License (VDL)
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, state licensure requirements and other regulatory and accrediting entities
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $40.48
Maximum hourly: $61.74
