Step-up to Step-Down!  Interested in Critical Care but would rather allow yourself time to develop your critical thinking, assessment and team leader skills before diving into the ICU?  The Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking innovative, adaptable and critical thinking Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join us as we grow and develop our successful, NP led team of Acute Care Nurse Practitioners by providing high quality, acute care to patients at Avon Hospital’s Step-Down unit.  NP experience is preferred, however candidates with at least 3 years of experience as a Step Down, Emergency Room or Critical Care RN will be considered.  Successful candidates will have a strong desire for autonomous practice and have the ability to function at the top of their license after training, fully integrating into a community hospital system where they have the ability to affect real change and improve patient outcomes with every interaction.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily rounding and development of plans of care for each patient in consultation with the physician
