This role involves providing direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing various medical procedures. Responsibilities:
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a coach, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and/or maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital/department personnel policies.
- Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines.
