Job Description:
This Progressive Care Nurse Residency program is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering compassionate and personalized care to our patients. As a member of our nursing team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor and document patient condition and respond to changes as needed
- Evaluate and update patient care plans to reflect changing needs and goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve desired outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with healthcare team members
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and self-management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum one year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
