Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Resident to join our Complex Medicine Unit on the 2 South floor. As a Nurse Resident, you will be responsible for managing pre-surgical patients and those requiring antibiotic treatment and wound care. You will also assist with bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis and perform advanced dressing changes.
This is a night shift position, working from 7:00pm to 7:30am. A successful caregiver in this role will participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. They will provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach and establish priorities for patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience
