Cleveland Clinic's East of I-77 Homecare Rehab Team invites skilled and dedicated professionals to join their team as a Physical Therapist Assistant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various age groups.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to administer physical therapy services to patients. This includes assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic programs to achieve optimal functional outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering evidence-based physical therapy treatments
- Observing and documenting patient progress
- Communicating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
- Providing education on physical therapy-related subjects to patients, caregivers, and community members
- Acting as a clinical instructor or participating in student education and evaluation
Required qualifications include an Associate's degree or certificate from a Physical Therapy Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association are also necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience in the clinical area and working in a homecare environment.
