As a Clinical Adjunct Faculty Nurse in the H81 Unit, you will serve as an educator in an affiliated Nursing Program. In this role, you will still provide direct patient care, all while helping train the next wave of compassionate, dedicated and driven Nurses. You will supply students with constructive feedback, professional guidance, clinical supervision and more. A caregiver in this position works rotating shifts from 7:00AM - 7:30PM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Monitor and document condition and effectiveness of care and/or interventions.
- Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs.
- Assess the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
- Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate.
- Oversight for nursing students as nursing clinical adjunct faculty when not providing direct patient care.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current unencumbered state or multistate compact licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Two years of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Specialty certification
- Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Medical/Surgical experience
- Clinical Instructor experience

Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
