What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Construction Project Manager position at Cleveland Construction, Inc.?
Cleveland Construction is looking for a hard-working, reliable, Assistant Project Manager to join our commercial construction team! You will be expected to support the Project Manager in managing day to day operations of the project from the office, this work includes but is not limited to:
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Perform Quantity takeoffs for material ordering purposes
- Estimate and Budget data entry into Project Management Software
- Drafting of Subcontract Scopes of Work, Change Orders, and Purchase Orders in Project Management Software
- Assist CCI’s Project Manager in the collection of Subcontractor Contract Documents and Attachments from Subcontractors
- Assist the Project Manager in the Development of the Project Submittal Log
- Create and Process Project Submittals
- Assist the Project Manager in Administering the Projects Quality Control Program
- Attend Project Meetings onsite or via Conference Call with Project Managers
- Assist Project Manager and Field Staff with Tracking and Updating Progress in the Construction Schedule
- Assist in Document Control and Maintenance of all Company required Forms, Reports, Policies, etc.
- Coordinate Material Deliveries between CCI’s Field Staff and Material Vendors
- Assist the Project Manager in collection and review of Change Order Pricing
- Assist CCI’s Project Management Staff in Completing Other Tasks as Directed
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- 3 years’ experience of field management in the commercial construction industry
- Reliable means of transportation
- Pass E-Verify
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
COMPUTER / TECHNOLOGY
- Proficient in the use of personal computers including iPad/tablet device
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related construction software (Timberline, Citrix a plus)
- Basic knowledge of uploading and managing web-based document storage
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- Reliable transportation to and from the project
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate based on project location
- Able to work in all elements of the outdoor environment which include the heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc.
- Able to access all areas of the job site that includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, elevation changes, etc.
- Capable of working in physical positions that may include kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
- Must be able to move, carry, or position items weighing up to 85 pounds.
PAY
$50,000 - $110,000
