This employee performs a variety of duties directly supervising the food service program of ten or more schools. Tasks are performed according to established guidelines and procedures. The employee is expected to resolve most problems that arise in the operation of a school cafeteria. This position requires a broad knowledge of nutrition, nutritional programs, nutrition education materials, food service, food production, customer service, sanitation, HACCP guidelines and safety. In addition to supervising school nutrition operations, this employee will be responsible for possessing in-depth knowledge in at least one of the aforementioned areas of broad knowledge. This employee will coordinate the activities relating to the area of in-depth knowledge in all schools.
