SECONDARY ENGLISH LICENSURE
- Candidates must hold and be HQ in the secondary (grades 9-12) English (100) license area.
- Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses in English; OR passing scores on Praxis II test 5038 English Language Arts: Content Knowledge and Praxis II test 5624 Principles of Teaching and Learning: Grades 7-12.
- Examples of related courses include:
- English, English Education, Literature, Linguistics, Writing
- Eligibility for the residency entry license must be established prior to a contract offer.
- Candidates with the middle grades English license area will be given consideration.
