Essential Qualifications, Credentials, and Technical Skills
The foundation’s compensation program estimates a minimum annual salary of $54,000 for this position, with flexibility to adjust based on the candidate's educational background, professional experience, community involvement, and overall qualifications.

Support stewardship of investment assets

- Keep abreast of investment market conditions.
- Conduct research on investment opportunities and due diligence on current and potential fund managers.
- Tracking and analysis of underlying investment exposures in the Foundation’s investment portfolio.
- Monitor performance of Foundation’s investment portfolio.
- Update monthly and quarterly fact sheets for investment pools.
- Benchmark fees paid to managers and trustees and compare to peers and benchmarks.
- Lead review and analysis of external broker and financial advisor relationships.
- Initiate wire transfers for capital calls and maintain liquidity worksheets.
- Prepare investment trade tickets for portfolio rebalancing.
- Assist with audit requirements such as fair value pricing, tracking alternative investment activity, audit confirms and price testing to ensure accurate investment information is presented in annual financial statements.
- Portfolio analysis for retirement committee.
- Assist with investment policy and governance compliance.
- Prepare various presentations for the CGO/CFO and VP of Finance/Treasurer to the board, its sub-committees, and executive team, as well as, to donors, local non-profits and other community stakeholders.
- Prepare investment material posted on our donor portal.
- Serve as a finance liaison to Donor Relations and other teams within the Foundation.
- Work on special projects as requested by the CGO/CFO and VP of Finance/Treasurer.

- Support Sr. Impact Analyst with tracking and growing mission aligned investments.
- Assist with work on sourcing diverse investment managers.
- Conduct annual diversity survey of managers and prepare reports.
Leverage data-driven decision-making to further the Cleveland Foundation’s strategic priorities.
- Support Senior Investment and Business Strategy Analyst with daily tracking and oversight of key business strategy initiatives.
- Supporting cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the key business strategy implementation initiatives.

- Stay up to date on best practices in institutional investment management; identify best practices for exploration by the Cleveland Foundation.
- Identify and pursue training, certifications, and professional development opportunities that will enhance the role’s ability to steward investment assets.
- Make time for reflection, acknowledge successes and mistakes and incorporate those learnings into the work.
Essential Qualifications, Credentials, and Technical Skills
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in investments, wealth management or private banking
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics or related field with working knowledge of financial accounting and capital markets and investments.
- Academic or work experience in investments management, wealth management, accounting, budgeting, and cash management.
- Superior competency in advanced PowerPoint, Excel modeling skills, and proficiency using Microsoft Office 365. Competency in finance and technology tools must be demonstrated through a skills test.
- A passion for investing, natural curiosity, and desire to understand financial markets.
- Strong attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to turn around requests quickly.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Desire to work collaboratively within and across teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals at all levels.
