PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for executing learning plans and conducting internal and external qualitative and quantitative fan research to cultivate a deeper understanding of our fans, enhance analytical capabilities, and foster exceptional cross-functional collaboration. Engaging in daily research functions dedicated to supporting our strategic priorities revolving around promoting brand growth and enhancing the overall fan experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Consumer Research and Insights
- Assist Director, Consumer Research & Insights in designing, coordinating, and executing learning plans with both qualitative and quantitative research in support of strategic initiatives, business plans, and the annual research calendar
- Deliver insights, data, and most importantly, recommendations that drive action across the organization and relevant departments
- Execute ongoing insight-generation research and fan experience tracking to determine unmet needs, foundational fan insights, and potential areas of opportunity
- Leverage insights from both primary and secondary research to enhance new activation programs and innovative offerings targeted at priority fan segments, assisting in determining desirability, viability, and feasibility
- Own the MLB 'Voice of the Consumer' program to fuel strategic decision-making processes within cross-functional teams
Analytics

Assess the impact of key marketing programs, ticketing offers, etc., summarizing key insights and communicating relevant findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization

Utilize Tableau, SQL, and other relevant technologies, applying them to daily analytics tasks related to brand building, marketing, and fan engagement

Support Director, Consumer Research & Insights in identifying opportunities to improve data collection, management, and analytics, and participate in assessing potential solutions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing, business analytics, economics, or related major
- 1-5 years experience as market research analyst in Sports, Consulting, Traditional CPG, or other consumer-centric industries.
- Demonstrated ability to critically assess the financial and strategic impact of programs and activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tableau products
- Background working with SQL (or other similar database management software)
- Proficiency with Qualtrics or other similar research software is strongly preferred
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of designing and executing market/fan research to develop meaningful insights to inform broader organizational projects
- Ability to understand how initiatives (or potential initiatives) impact broader organizational objectives
- Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through to ensure execution excellence
- Robust collaboration skills to successfully develop and execute plans cross-departmentally
- Self-motivated and directed
