We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on various systems and equipment.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform electrical repairs and installations, utilizing tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Execute mechanical repairs, including fabrication and welding tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise and train junior maintenance staff as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to operations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to fabricate parts as needed.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to the maintenance field, including welding equipment.
- Familiarity with CMMS for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
