Cleveland Menu is a 3rd generation family-owned business that has been serving the hospitality industry since 1930 and specializes in the design and production of high-quality leather, metal, wood and printed menu covers. We are a fast paced, rapidly growing organization that is looking for candidates with a proven track record of reliability and desire to grow with the company.
As a Material Puller you will be responsible for efficiently pulling and organizing bindery materials and supplies, ensuring that they are accurately prepared for the production team. The role involves maintaining an organized work environment and ensuring that materials meet quality standards before moving to the next phase of production.
Shift
- 1st Shift: 5:00am - 1:00pm
- 2nd Shift: 1:15pm - 9:15pm
Essential Job Duties
- Pull printed materials and stock from inventory or production lines for binding and finishing
- Organize and stack materials in a way that facilitates efficient processing and ensures quality control
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, notifying supervisors of shortages or discrepancies
- Inspect materials for any defects or quality issues before sending them to the next stage of production
- Assist bindery operators and other team members in folding, cutting, stitching, and binding materials as needed
- Use bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, and stitchers under supervision when required
- Ensure the bindery area is clean and organized, performing routine maintenance on equipment when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read a ruler and take exact measurements
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
- Ability to understand work instructions in English
- Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
- Ability to operate pallet jack, dollies, and/or hand trucks
- Capable of working independently or in a team-oriented environment

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment and is exposed to fluctuating temperatures in certain areas; noises; working around machinery with moving parts; working in close proximity to others; potential trip hazards due to materials, tools, or equipment in the work area; and possible exposure to strong odors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift/move/carry up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods of time; use of both hands to handle or feel objects or controls with or without gloves; stoop/kneel/bend/crouch to reach material; climb on step-stool to access material overhead; climb stairs; have corrected hearing with ability to hear machine alarms; and operate machinery and/or power tools
