Cleveland Menu is a 3rd generation family-owned business that has been serving the hospitality industry since 1930 and specializes in the design and production of high-quality leather, metal, wood and printed menu covers. We are a fast paced, rapidly growing organization that is looking for candidates with a proven track record of reliability and desire to grow with the company.
As a Plant Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 3rd shift Bindery and Print production teams. Your leadership skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our organization.
Days/Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 9:00pm - 5:00am
Reports to: Plant Manager
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee & coordinate the daily operations of the shift through jobs and workflow that are assigned and designated by department manager(s)
- Ensure production goals & deadlines are met - plan/foresight for upcoming jobs, adjust to workflow of jobs and priorities
- Monitor and maintain safety and quality control standards
- Setup jobs: gather necessary materials, group jobs and necessary materials, assign tasks, responsibilities and tasks to team members and tables
- Train & mentor new team members
- Collaborate with other shift leaders and management to improve processes and efficiency
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- HS diploma required
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience is required
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and practices is strongly preferred.
- Experience operating within formal safety and quality programs
- Knowledge of print production and bindery processes preferred
- Admin skills: monitoring & addressing emails, shift reports, HR communications, organizational skills, knowledge of PC applications
