Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities & Transportation the full-time Driver will follow daily scheduled routes ensuring on-time arrival of clients, employees and/or materials.

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities & Transportation the full-time Driver will follow daily scheduled routes ensuring on-time arrival of clients, employees and/or materials.
Essential functions:
- Operate and drive vehicles safely and in full compliance with traffic laws.
- Estimate pick-up times to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Accurately record and submit vehicle and driver logs showing miles driven, times, and dates.
- Check and monitor vehicle maintenance on a weekly basis and submit logs to driver/dispatcher as required.
- Report any major or minor mechanical problems as soon as they occur to the driver/dispatcher. Report any vehicle accidents, damage, and/or damage caused to other vehicles as soon as it is safe to do so.
- Keep the interior and exterior of vehicle clean.
- Wear a Cleveland Sight Center uniform to demonstrate a professional image.
- Respond promptly to overhead pages while in the building and to calls to personal communication devices (i.e. cell phone or radio)
- Maintain driving record as established in CSC Employee Handbook.
- Maintain all applicable safety, first aid and driving training/certifications.
- Between transportation runs other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Safe and defensive driver.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of roadways of Cuyahoga County.
- Must be able to pass all required courses and/or certifications (CPR, blood borne pathogens, wheelchair assistance).
- Effective communication skills

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years or more as a driver on an ongoing basis.
Education:
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
Equipment/Tools Used:
- Personal computer; software including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
Able to sit for long drives; assist passengers on and off vehicles, and stand, stoop, bend, reach and climb. Must be able to work variable hours and as needed (evenings, weekends, etc.). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Once hired, the employee must have current and sufficient automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record.
The employee is expected to adhere to all agency policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to agency policies including HIPAA and Code of Ethics.
