Fleet Maintenance Manager

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in truck diagnostics, diesel engine repair, and hydraulics, ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage a team of technicians while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the fleet maintenance department, ensuring timely repairs and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on fleet vehicles to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee the repair and maintenance of air brake systems, shocks, struts, and other essential components.
• Utilize hand tools and schematics to perform repairs on various types of equipment, including forklifts.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of fleet assets.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices for vehicle repair and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on fleet vehicles.

Experience

• Proven experience in fleet maintenance management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, air brake systems, and automotive diagnostics.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Experience working with various types of machinery preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
