We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the fleet maintenance department, ensuring timely repairs and maintenance of all vehicles.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on fleet vehicles to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of air brake systems, shocks, struts, and other essential components.
- Utilize hand tools and schematics to perform repairs on various types of equipment, including forklifts.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of fleet assets.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices for vehicle repair and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on fleet vehicles.
Experience
- Proven experience in fleet maintenance management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, air brake systems, and automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Experience working with various types of machinery preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
