to the Cleveland, Tennessee / Bradley County area is seeking a Senior Engineer. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the engineering department, maintaining and expanding a water distribution system and sewage collections system. Position can include design of capital projects at the wastewater treatment plant, and water treatment plants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Development of the Water / Wastewater Engineering Department capital budget.
- Review and approve water and wastewater facilities for private development.
- Develop plans and specifications for capital projects.
- Assist with Water and Wastewater GIS mapping.
- Inspection of construction of water and wastewater facilities.
- Direction of capital project / design and construction management.
- Assist other areas with capital budgeting, management of all capital projects, use of consultants and other engineering related items.
- Assist customers as necessary.
- Develop standards and policies related to the installation of water and wastewater facilities.
- Support water and wastewater operations, as needed.
- Manage outside consultants to consist of selection, fee negotiations, scheduling, payment and review / approval of work.
- Knowledge of SRF requirements including application procedure, disbursement requests, document preparation, and construction procedures.
- Confer with the public, consultants, and contractors concerning projects.
- Other duties as assigned by Engineering Manager of Water and Wastewater.
