About the job
Twilio is seeking a highly qualified CMO to develop and implement the company’s marketing strategy and vision, as well as lead all aspects of global marketing operations. As Twilio’s CMO, you will lead our global marketing and communications efforts. You will empower and retain a 300 person team responsible for the entire marketing mix including demand generation, product marketing, brand, corporate marketing, developer relations, events and more. As a key member of our leadership team, you will partner with peers from across the organization to ensure our marketing is engaging, creative, clean, and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive global marketing strategy that builds awareness and demand to ensure we exceed business and revenue growth objectives.
- Expand, lead and inspire a large global marketing organization that takes ownership for strengthening Twilio’s reputation as we evolve from a leadership position in the CPaaS market to the world’s leading Customer Engagement Platform.
- Drive strategic and operational planning with regards to branding, positioning, messaging, and broader go-to market initiatives.
- Create and scale programs that empower our community of XM developers to build with Twilio.
- Partner closely with the product, engineering and sales organizations to define and implement a comprehensive product marketing strategy.
- Ensure we mature as a data-driven marketing team that closely analyzes data to make informed investment decisions, as well as continues to innovate and iterate.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to continuously develop and improve a highly efficient sales execution process that fully optimizes demand generation.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with sales, product and people to ensure we deliver consistent messaging and articulate clear value propositions both internally and externally, as well as across all channels (print, digital, events).
- Ensure marketing develops and maintains a clear understanding of market and competitor developments and impacts product development to meet / exceed customers growing needs.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance and mentorship to the marketing organization’s management team, while encouraging a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
- Work closely with the CEO, CRO, the wider executive team and marketing leadership, set clear goals, carefully manage expectations, and ensure growth targets are achieved.
