ConnecticutWiggin and Dana is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the business operations and practice support areas of the Firm. This role is the highest administrative position at the firm and reports directly to the Managing Partner. The COO ensures the company’s organizational structure, policies, operations, and people enable the company to execute on the Firm’s Strategic Plan. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, thoughtful leader with the ability to get things done through others. They will operate comfortably in a high-performance, collegial organization across a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including oversight of financial affairs, information technology, marketing and business development, human resources, facilities and related functions. The candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, organization, and problem-solving skills.A four-year business degree is required and an M.B.A., or comparable advanced degree, is preferred. Applicants must have ten years of proven experience and successful performance in managing administrative functions in a law firm, operating in a multiple office environment.
