This newly established Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Student Life position is a key leadership role pivotal to the future growth of Lincoln University. As DVC Student Life, you will strategically lead an end-to-end, world-class student experience and develop and implement initiatives to maximise learner success. This will include advancing learning and teaching, learner success, student engagement and experience, student health and wellbeing, and student administration.
Holding an appropriate tertiary qualification, you will have outstanding experience in leading high-quality student engagement, student administration, and learner success, along with a proven track record of strategic leadership combined with innovative thinking and effective implementation. A sound knowledge of the university environment and academic policies will be important, as will the ability to advance organisational structures to support all aspects of student success.
With insight into the distinctiveness of a specialised land-based university, you will demonstrate strategic management and administration skills honed in a complex environment, combined with experience driving a transformational change agenda, highly developed judgement skills, strong integrity, a collaborative and courageous style, and outstanding communication ability. You will lead by example, interacting successfully with a wide range of stakeholders and displaying the capacity to commit to the obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and will have the energy and vision required to inspire and motivate others.
