Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a start-up plan for the food hub to grow relationships with customers and farmers and support regional food systems.
- Lead a team in daily operations, including production, distribution, sales, and marketing.
- Establish and maintain relationships with food system stakeholders, including farmers, processors, distributors, retailers, and consumers.
- Collaborate with MEMBERS ONLY SIGN UP NOW's national team to align regional efforts with organizational goals and values.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with grant and contract requirements.
- Ensure that the food hub adheres to high standards for food safety and quality, and that all necessary licenses and certifications are obtained and maintained.
- Represent MEMBERS ONLY SIGN UP NOW at relevant community events, meetings, and conferences.
- 7 years of experience in nonprofit organization management, with a proven track record of success in leadership, strategic planning, and relationship management.
- Knowledge of and passion for sustainable agriculture, regional food systems, and/or environmental stewardship.
- Exemplary communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders.
- Experience with financial management, including managing budgets, cash flow, and forecasting.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, agriculture, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience and success in developing and leading high-performing teams.
