Your impact as a North America Chief Operating Officer
Operate as a member of the Region's leadership team in collaboration with the Region CEO and Region Leadership Team. Work with the CEO and RLT to develop the Region strategy.
- Partner with CEOs and Regional Leadership Team to drive the ecosystem that will deliver the next generation of services through innovation in addition to driving the current operations.
- Lead the development of the Region's operating strategy.
- Develop and drive a multi-year operational strategy (covering technology, operations and D&A) that supports the overall business objectives, including achieving growth, margin, market share, quality, colleague engagement and client experience targets.
- Design and deliver a coherent Region operating model across all elements of Client Service Delivery, Business Platforms, Risk & Compliance, Procurement, technology, D&A and Growth Operations, that reflects the global Business Services and Client Service Delivery approach.
- Partner with Country, Client and Solution Line leadership to support client growth agenda through enabling Growth Operations, product rationalisation, pricing strategies and client segmentation.
- Lead change management and transformation across the Region.
- Develop and own the operational change management agenda on behalf of the Region CEO.
- Work with the Region CFO to manage investment priorities.
- Lead change management and transformation in the region and the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver business results.
- Partner with CEO, CFO and RLT to develop the Merger, Divestments and Acquisition agenda and lead operational integration activities.
- Champion innovation across the Region.
- Operate as the leader of the Region's Business Services organization.
- Be an active member of the global Business Services leadership, participate in and shape global initiatives that have an impact on the Region.
- Champion the creation and development of a unified Business Services organization across Aon, including the build and use of a Region Client Services Hub, unifying operational activity across business, countries the region and globally.
- Partner with global Business Services leaders, SL COOs and teams to fully leverage and deploy Business Platforms and Shared Capabilities (covering operations, technology, procurement, security, D&A) within the region.
- Create an effective governance model to enable global Business Services leaders to be able to operate across the region.
- Partner with the global Business Services team and people organization to develop career growth strategies for Operations colleagues through trainings, skillset upgrades and career development plans.
- Ensure that the region's Business Services team is diverse and ensure that Business Services operates in a unified way with an inclusive culture.
- Ensure the measurement and delivery of operational and other performance metrics in the Region.
- Own and manage operational and technology costs within the region P&L.
- In conjunction with GSM, manage relationship with third party providers, resolving issues and drive more effective performance where needed.
- Ensure effective and compliant operating practice across the region.
- Ensure that effective processes are embedded across the region to ensure risk is managed, an effective control environment is in place and the region remains compliant with all regulations and Corporate policies.
- Work with regional and global functional leaders to ensure effective functional processes are in place.
- Act as the key interface between global functions and the Region.
- Ensure that Enterprise Risk Management practices are embedded in the Region.
- Work with the Aon Audit organization to understand potential risks within operating practices and ensure audit findings are closed quickly and effectively.
- Work closely with the CFO to ensure costs are tightly managed, focusing on non-SIB items and investments.
- Ensure that effective business continuity planning is in place.
