Posted onApr 01, 2022ProfileJob InformationCompany : HumanaPosition : VP, Clinical OperationsLocation : Boston, MassachusettsDescriptionAs the VP, Clinical Operations and Chief Clinical Officer of Kindred at Home, you will be responsible for planning and creating the ongoing strategic, operational, and service design to achieve the mission and vision of the Home Health clinical operations.ResponsibilitiesAs the VP, Clinical Operations and Chief Clinical Officer, you will : Direct the preparation of short term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives.Maintain sound plans of corporate organization development, establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.Develop and install procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.Establish operating policies consistent with region presidents' broad policies and objectives and ensure execution.Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and report these results to executive leadership.Collaborate with Home Health leadership in preparation of a budget and the development of a capital expenditure plan for the clinicians.Responsible for cost controls to ensure maximum effectiveness of funds expensed from approved departmental budgets.Develop, implement and improve the care delivery model by assessing quality and efficiency and leading appropriate change that meets or exceeds customer expectations.Key Candidate QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role is a clinician fervent about our mission of being the best-in-class provider of clinically innovative health care services in the home. In addition, this person will hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in home health administration / management with 3 years of experience at a senior nursing management level preferred.RequirementsPassion for helping older adults achieve better health outcomes and lead more enjoyable lives.10 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare industry with a background in strategy, innovation, and operations at a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency.Advanced knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, including strong formal presentation skills.Strong working knowledge of electronic medical records, experience with Homecare Homebase preferred.Prior nursing experience to include compliance and home health regulations.Experience collaborating with senior leadership on budget variances, including justifications and / or developing corrective measures.Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and contracts.Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy, with a preference to nursing.Licenses / Certification : Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist in assigned state.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, physical therapy, or clinical specialty.Additional InformationWe will require full COVID vaccination, including booster, for this job as we are a healthcare company committed to putting health and safety first for our members, patients, associates, and the communities we serve.
