Assistant Childcare Educator

Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Educator for our Pre-school classroom to join our team at our Broadway location. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the lead educator in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our young learners. You will be responsible for helping to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of children. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining open communication with parents and other staff members to ensure the best possible learning experience for our students.

Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and other staff members to ensure the best possible learning experience for our students.
• Assist with the preparation of snacks and meals.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
• Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
• Some completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• CPL III or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)
